☊ God Save the Queen!

Hey mates! Greetings from Southampton, UK. It's been a wild ass week but I'm back. It was my freshers week and we were bombarded with events and parties. Making new friends here allowed me to broaden my perspective of music. I got to listen to bangin' new songs and artists I've never heard about.

On my first night out we all went to the University's club, located on campus. All of a sudden this song came on and I asked my roommate Tom, what this song was. It's crazy to party and dance to, so definitely check it out.

Continue reading on to get listen to some tracks that are on fire in my iTunes at the moment.

What We Do

Upper West kills it again with the their latest track and first single off their debut mix-tape
West Side Stories What We Do. They're largely keeping to the style they're know for, smooth electric beats and fast paced lyrics. The violin sample in the background is an added bonus. So check it out and keep spreading the word. They're still new to the scene, but they're making noise.

FeverFlows presents: Jack King

I remember meeting Jack back in 9th grade, I can't remember for sure, but I'm willing to bet he was wearing a Grateful Dead shirt under a long sleeves plaid shirt. I felt he had the whole guitarist look going on and I was right, he was a great guitarist and hes only been getting better since. He's finally started recording some of his own tracks. He's already got four tracks up on myspace and while he would recommend smoking fire, I would say Silence is my fav. It's just so calming. What can I say, I think all his guitar melodies are great, but I'm always a sucker for lyrics. Plus, his voice goes along great with the guitar.
So here, enjoy Silence:

☊ Tonight is the Night!!

A couple days ago OUTASIGHT released another smash hit. Might sound weird, but this guy's music is so much fun! I could party to this all night long. This guy definitely brings his own game to the pop scene, and his rap verses kill as well. I have no doubt, this guy gets the ladies. You can't not like this guy. Enjoy 'Tonight is the Night' and more songs after the jump, if you like it!

Morbid Music Video Monday! Session two

So for this week's Morbid Monday music videos, I decided to scale it from 1- 10 or, in other words, from strange, to disturbed, to downright mental. After watching all these videos I'm almost a 100% sure you'll agree with how I ordered them, so, without further ado, coming in at third and just plain strange, Fatboy Slim's Weapon Of Choice (Strrrrrange).

Vidzone, the uploader of the video, summed this video up perfectly "Not only does this awarding winning video have some of the best samples and lyrics, it also features actor Christopher Walken dancing on ceilings." That's right, ceiling dancing and Christoper Walken. Awesome.

☊ Me, Myself and Humanity - Mixtape

Out of my friends, Dan always knew good rap music. Now, he makes good rap music. As OMMETIS, Dan lays down his smooth yet deep flow with a typically dark or jazzy beat. It fucking works. He recently dropped one of his bigger projects 'Me, Myself and Humanity' and its a solid piece of work. I've been following his songs for some time now and there's no doubt; he's getting better and better, and he's on his way up. This guy is dedicated. Less than two days after receiving positive ratings on his mixtape he already whooped out another thank you song for his fans. Keep track of this kid, he's about to become something. Check out one of my favorites 'Good Times' and the rest of his songs after the jump!

New Mac: #SmileBack!

Mac is back! And out of no where too! My friends give me a lot of shit for being obsessed with Mac, but seeing his videos as soon as they drop is kinda cool. Mac really changed up his game on this one but he still goes hard as f*ck. I feel like this song is emblematic of his positive attitude: when life gets bad or haters hate, smile back and thumbs up! TreeJ's videos are getting better and better and weirder and weirder. Don't forget about Blue Slide Park coming out 11/8/11, and watch 'Smile Back' after the jump!

Sick Playlist Wednesday: It's called Nostalgia

No one ever likes change. It's hard to leave the things and places you loved behind. It's hard to be happy about where you're headed when you know those friends that stuck with you through it all won't be there to help you out this time. Of course growing up is a part of life and yea, sure, one day being old will be great, pretending to be senile awesome, but sometimes you can't help stop to wish you were in the past. I'm sure everyone knows this feeling, it's called Nostalgia.

☊ "Hello Youtubes!"

Known for his trademark phrase "Hello Youtubes!" that he shouts before each video, Ronald Jenkees is a musician who creates truly magical sounds with his keyboards. Jenkees is the type of person who can't keep to a script or sheet music, and you can see that in the unlimited amount of energy that goes into his wild but awesome improvisations. His music is so f*cking inspirational. It just makes you wanna get out there and do something awesome. Turn the volume wayyy up. Here's my personal favorite 'Throwing Fire' and of course more of his amazing works below. Additionally Mac Miller leaked another track today to celebrate reaching 900,000 followers on twitter. Check it out after the jump!
